Paris to host 2018 Gay Games

French capital faced down competition from finalists London and Limerick

The second time’s a charm. For Paris, at least, which was given the nod to host the 2018 Gay Games after losing out to Cologne, Germany, in a bid to stage the event’s 2010 installment, The Straits Times reports.

The Federation of Gay Games made the announcement Oct 7. The French capital faced competiton from finalists London and Limerick.

The 2014 Gay Games will be held in the American cities of Akron and Cleveland, Ohio.
