Celebrities reopens

New chapter begins for Davie Village hotspot

Before closing for renovations earlier this year, Celebrities was already a Davie Street landmark, voted one of the top dancefloors on the West Coast. The club’s owners decided to close and revamp, because “even an icon needs a makeover.”

After a long two months, Celebrities has reopened its doors, ushering in — along with an eager crowd — a new chapter for the Vancouver hotspot.

Xtra’s Raziel Reid was at Celebrities’ new weekly Thursday party, Liberace, where the club’s bandages came off and the revived face of the Village was revealed.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone.
