A poem in memory of Jadon Higganbothan

I wrote this poem in memory of 4-year-old angel Jadon Higganbothan. I wrote it as a reminder to myself to do my part so that we don’t have to live in a world like this.

I wonder who God is,

what this is all for.

Again we’re here, another year;

we’ve been here before.

A stolen life, turned into light,

forever more.

Through the hate, commiserate,

then, love more.

Raise the stakes, as your heart breaks,
show the dark the door.

Give to get, don’t forget,

all of this is yours.

RIP, Jadon.
