Anderson Cooper vs Star Jones

This summer while Anderson was on break between seasons, Anderson Cooper came out publicly. Star Jones then went on the Today show suggesting that Anderson Cooper came out to boost ratings, citing Oprah talking about her past drug use and molestation as examples of a talk-show host revealing something about their personal life, then benefiting from it in ratings. Which is exactly the opposite of what happened when Star became revealing about her personal life (the ostentatious wedding, the shrinking waist and growing lies, etc, etc), which saw ratings for The View plummet.

Now, as a ratings ploy Anderson is swiping back (he must’ve been sharpening those claws while he was in the closet). When Andy Cohen asked him about his coming-out experience, Anderson had mostly positive things to say, except when it came to Star:
