Why are boys in a family with older brothers more likely to be gay than their older siblings? That's the curious question being explored by Canadian sex researcher Ray Blanchard.

The retired University of Toronto professor thinks he may have identified a biological cause that happens in the womb — and that's when an old albatross question rears its head: if being gay is biological, will people eventually try to cure it?  

“You know, research is not the continuation of politics by other means,” states Blanchard in the Globe And Mail feature "Did having a big brother make me gay?"
