Friday’s Pick: Vancouver Queer Film Festival

Yesterday’s screening of Peru’s Undertow (Contracorriente) was everything I hoped it would be. Steamy Hispanic heartthrobs (Manolo Cardona anyone?), gorgeous cinematography, non-conventional narrative and even a little romance. Which is why I’m looking forward to today’s screening of Plan B.

Sure, the title makes me think of both the morning-after pill and Jennifer Lopez… but that’s probably why this film is a farcical take on relationships. Did I mention it’s Argentinian? Ay papi! Can’t wait to watch it.

Have a great weekend and make sure to check http://www.queerfilmfestival.ca/film for selections that run over the next three days.
