George Takei’s incredible life

An evening with the Star Trek and social media star

An Evening With… puts the spotlight on George Takei’s incredible life, as he speaks about his career as an actor, author, playwright, social justice activist and social media superstar. And, of course, Star Trek.

With a career spanning five decades, Takei is best known around the world as helmsman Hikaru Sulu on the television and movie series Star Trek. Today, he is arguably the most influential figure on social media, with millions of followers on Facebook and Twitter. He is a bestselling author, the subject of the documentary film To Be Takei, and the spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign’s Coming Out Project. His Broadway musical Allegiance recalls his memories as a young Japanese American unjustly interned with his family during the Second World War.

Union Events is pleased to present An Evening with George Takei, Tues, Nov 18 at 8pm, live at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver.
