Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim Robbins talk sex addiction

Thanks for Sharing stars in Toronto for film's premiere at TIFF

Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow walked the red carpet Sept 9 for her new film, Thanks for Sharing, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film explores sex addiction, and Paltrow has a few things to say to those who doubt it is a real illness.

“It is a real pathology, and it was interesting to learn about it and to see what the behaviour is and what causes it and how people are sober,” she says. “It was very interesting. I learned a lot.”

The American Psychiatric Association, however, does not list sex addiction in the latest edition of its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

Below are video interviews with Paltrow and Tim Robbins, who also stars in Thanks for Sharing.

Mark Ruffalo
also stars in the film.
