Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth are Romeo and Juliet for the next generation

The 1996 Baz Luhrmann-directed William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet is one of my favourite movies of all time. I don’t know how anyone could play the title roles better than the sumptuous Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, but I approve of the casting choices for the Julian Fellowes-penned adaptation, which is set for release in 2012. 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld, who was nominated for an Academy Award for True Grit, will play Juliet, and 19-year-old Douglas Booth, who starred as Boy George in the BBC film Worried About the Boy, will play Romeo.

So, who’d you rather? Romeo vs Romeo edition.
