Art show and sale from the one and only Keith Cole

Starting Tuesday, June 4, Daddy’s Mad will showcase a selection of paintings from artist Keith Cole’s ongoing series The Army of Black Lesbians. Cole’s collection challenges viewers to slow down and keep their minds open and critical. The pieces are full-frontal and silent but are begging to tell you something worth knowing. Cole’s sharp aesthetic wit is on display, with his tongue firmly planted in his – or your – cheek.
The works will be on display at Videofag, a fact Cole is grateful for. “The boys at Videofag [Jordan and William] had some space available, so they offered these few days in June, which I grabbed right away. Any kind of space in TO is difficult to find or get – so I grab it.”
Daddy’s Mad doubles as a self-proclaimed fire sale; each painting is available for purchase.
“The thing about a fire sale is . . . there has to be a fire – so I’ll burn something, I am sure.”
