How the death of DOMA affects US federal laws and programs

Fifteen fact sheets about the most important impacts

The US Supreme Court ruling on June 26 that struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) will affect a wide range of federal laws and programs.

The gay rights lobby Lambda Legal has released a series of 15 fact sheets about the most important impacts.

The group has released a general fact sheet about the DOMA ruling.

In addition, there are 14 fact sheets that give detailed information about how the ruling will affect immigration, taxes, social security, Medicaid, Medicare, veterans, employees and military spouses, and more.

Lambda Legal says 11 national groups jointly produced the fact sheets.
