Jer’s Vision volunteers create rainbow lantern for Lumière Festival

Two Jer's Vision volunteers will set rainbow lanterns free this weekend at the Lumière Festival.

Summer volunteers Lorrain Tyrany and Vatoul Kazan created the multicoloured lanterns as a fun way to promote the youth diversity initiative.

Tyrany says she was drawn to Jer's Vision as the promotion of diversity.

"I'm a really strong supporter of anything that has to do with human rights and helping out people. I am really against bullying of any kind whether it's based on ethnicity or gender," Tyrany says. "I thought it would be a great experience."

The Lumière Festival is an annual event by the New Edinburgh Community and Arts Centre which culminates with "an evening of light" celebration.
