One of the top stories on Queerty today is some stupid shit Khloe Kardashian Odom said on her Dallas radio show, which I don't know the name of and neither do you because we really don't care. Right? Right. The girl had this to say about her sister's baby-daddy, Scott Disick, and his accessory appreciation:
"What kind of a homo are you? Seriously, that is not what a man — a straight man, doesn't carry a Birkin bag."
Scott hit back by saying:
"First of all, you shouldn't say 'homo' on the radio. It's not a bad thing to be a homosexual. Second, you're making it sound like a negative thing. Third, I'm not a homosexual. Fourth, I didn't come out of the closet — it's a man bag."
Khloe then said:
"Let me just tell you: I am the queen of my gay community, which I love and adore. And I promote doing the tranny look-alike contest. I am queen bee over here, so don't even try it."
Oh, Khloe. Just because you promote a gay-friendly event and have a few gays who kiss your ass because you're related to Kim doesn't give you a get-away-with-homophobia free pass.
Now, the only thing worse than this highly thought-provoking exchange is Queerty's headline: "She-hulk Khloe Kardashian calls Scott Disick a 'homo' on her Dallas radio show." Don't get me wrong: when Michael K, on Dlisted, calls the Kardashians the "Kuntrashians," I giggle to myself as much as the next fag, but maybe it's not the smartest thing to use derogatory rhetoric about someone you are calling out for using . . . derogatory . . . rhetoric.
For the record, I don't think Khloe is homophobic, just stupid. Which is nothing new if you've seen any of her fame whoring expeditions television shows.
And yes, Scott lost me with his alcoholic arrogance (shoving a bill in his waiter's mouth was oh so highbrow), but if there is one way to win me over it's with a ridiculously overpriced new-money status symbol made with ostrich, crocodile or lizard skin.
