Lady Gaga does genderbending full frontal on the cover of Candy magazine’s seventh issue.
Candy, named after Warhol superstar Candy Darling, is “the first transversal style magazine” and the third magazine created by Luis Venegas, following Fanzine137 and EY! Magateen.
With Candy, Luis wanted to create a gay publication that didn’t focus on politics.
"Gay magazines talk about the rights of gay people and the achievements of the gay movement,” he told The New York Times. “I didn’t want Candy to be like that. I wanted it to be like Vogue. There are few groups of people for whom fashion, makeup and hair is more relevant."
Previous covers have featured Luke Worrall, James Franco, Jared Leto, Chloë Sevigny, Tilda Swinton and Connie Fleming.
