Last chance to add to AIDS memorial

The Vancouver AIDS Memorial Society has bumped the cut-off date for the submission of names for the last two panels on the AIDS Memorial at Sunset Beach from Jan 10 to the end of February.

“That still gives us enough time to do the last panels for The Candlelight Vigil on May 21,” wrote executive director Catherine Ewing in an email to Xtra West Jan 16.

Ewing says anyone with a connection to BC who died with AIDS is eligible to have their name recorded on the monument. To make a nomination go to www.aidsmemorial.ca or call the Vancouver AIDS Memorial Society at 604.216.7031.
