Memo to Vancouver gaybashers: get out of our ‘hood!

Have you seen these posters around Vancouver’s Davie Village?

We have, and we like them.

To whoever put the posters up last week in the wake of two reported gaybashings in Vancouver in less than three weeks: good for you for raising your voice!

We especially like the conclusion: “Most of all — have fun —don’t let gaybashers push us back in the closet!”

Keep reporting, everyone. As the poster says, “Reporting assaults is the first step to stopping them.”

If you get gay bashed or witness a gaybashing, call 911 then call Xtra (Vancouver or BC: 604-684-9696 or outside of BC: 1-800-268-9872)
