Mingling with Queer Acts

Pride is a time for socializing and meeting all sorts of new people.

Adam Reid, who organizes Pride’s Queer Acts festival, wanted to help some of the movers and shakers in Halifaxs art world meet, so he came up with the Queer Acts Confab. “It is really meant to serve the amazing pool of queer visual and performing artists I see,” he says.

According to Reid, the Confab is all about helping people make connections to help foster artists and producers in the LGBT community through various events. On top of Queer Acts’ usual theatrical performances, the Confab will allow participants to hear from local and visiting participants and performers, through various events, debates and meet-and-greets.

You can find more information on the event’s Facebook page.
