One man is charged with murder after the body of another man was found in a New Westminster apartment Jan 23.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team reports that New Westminster Police were called to check on the wellbeing of George Ammon Kong after he failed to show up for work three days in a row.

Upon entering his home, police discovered the man’s lifeless body. An autopsy revealed the death was a homicide. A subsequent investigation revealed that Kong and the accused made arrangements to meet for the first time through an internet dating service shortly before Kong’s death.
