New Yorkers are now free to marry whom they love

About goddamn time.

In a vote of 33-29, New York has finally passed the Marriage Equality Bill. You know what this means: EVERYBODY IS GOING TO PARTY THE FUCK OUT. And you’d better, too, because if those crazy religious people are right, this means that the world is going to end. Apparently, meteors are attracted to love and gayness or something.

One memorable highlight from the night was Rep Ruben Diaz’s increasingly erratic rant about how gay marriage takes away his rights, which I read as, “THEY TURK URR RIGHTS! DEY DURKA RURRRTS! DEDURKA DRURRR!”
