Naked Boys Singing

(Maria Vartanova)

Who needs plot when you have a bunch of guys singing their heads off and dancing around naked? Toto Too Theatre’s production of the off-Broadway hit musical features locally-sourced naked guys. The cabaret-style show includes such original songs as “Gratuitous Nudity,” “The Naked Maid” and “Perky little Porn Stars.”

Runs until Saturday, June 25, various showtimes. Live! on Elgin, 220 Elgin St.

Ottawa Fringe Festival

This year’s theatre festival is pretty light on queer content, but it’s the theatre — and, as we know, the theatre is always at least a little big queer. Since 1997, this festival has brought loads of talent to the city. Theatre-lovers can enjoy a range of performances and productions over the course of the event.

Runs until Sunday, June 26. For more info, visit

Sashay Summer Party

(Bernard Rochon)

Dancing, drag, socializing, glittery silliness — this big queer party has something for everyone. The summer edition of the seasonal bash features Ottawa’s DJ Ashley Gauthier opening up for Montreal’s DJ Alberto Perez. The drag is provided by Kiki Coe, Koko Shennel, Markida Brown and Jasmine Dymond.

10pm. Barrymore’s, 323 Bank St.

Wear What You Dare

National Capital Leather Prides hosts another fun and dirty-sounding, but very difficult to decipher (at least as concerns billing), party in a bar. It’s most likely an event where kinky guys can come out and show off their beach wear and/or fetish gear.

9:30pm–2am. Centretown Pub, 340 Somerset St W. For more info, visit Facebook.

Oh My Jam : A Family Affair

Those looking for a very, very, very — it can’t be stressed enough — inclusive bash can’t do much better than this The Queer Mafia-hosted event. It features DJs Tamika, Salivation Army and High Fantasy spinning hip hop, R&B, dancehall, and that kind of thing. It’s a great place to drop by after Glow Fair.

10:30pm–2:30am. Babylon, 317 Bank St.

Tuesday, June 21

Erotic Massage 101

Some just gently drag their hands across your back, so that you can barely feel it. Some claw and squeeze like they’re trying to grind the bones to dust. Others are unaccountably slimy. The point is, not everyone gives a good massage. Jaime Jones hosts a workshop on the ins and outs of giving an erotic massage well.

6:30p–8:30m. Venus Envy, 226 Bank St.

Saturday, June 25

The Ottawa Wolves: Overboard

Each year, the sporty babes — both men and women — of The Ottawa Wolves host a great big party on a boat. The inclusive rugby club’s annual cruise includes music by DJ Matt Tamblyn and probably some surprise hijinks. It’s a big aquatic celebration of the men’s and women’s season and everyone is invited.

8–11pm. Jacques Cartier Park Wharfs, Gatineau. For more info, visit Facebook.
