Pornstar Bruno Knight sentenced for smuggling meth

On June 16, 2014, British pornstar Bruno Knight, born Philip Gizzie, was caught smuggling 226 grams of meth up his ass at LAX airport. Knight pleaded guilty to a federal count of possession with intent to distribute and faced a maximum of 20 years in prison.

In a letter to the court, Knight told US District Judge Manuel Real that he had been addicted to meth at the time. After serving five months in prison, he is now sober.

Knight’s lawyer, Neha A Meta, asked for a six-month sentence, arguing that Knight was not a “sophisticated” drug dealer and that the meth was mostly for his own personal use.

But Real sentenced Knight to two years in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release.

“I am sorry to you and your country,” Knight said during his sentencing.

An unfortunate example of life imitating art, one of Knight’s most popular porn films is called Security Control, in which he stars as an airport security guard who body searches a man for drugs.
