Pride Toronto seeks nominations for board of directors

Tired of complaining about Toronto Pride year after year? Got some sharp ideas that’ll make the festival fierce? If so, Toronto Pride wants you. The not-for-profit organization is currently seeking nominations for its board of directors. Up to three board seats need to be filled, including one male cochair position. Prospective candidates are required to commit to a three-year term, devote an average of five hours per week to the organization, participate in hard-core decision making meetings and be readily accessible via telephone and email (keep that Blackberry charged). Ideal candidates should know a thing or two about business, party planning and “LGBTTIQQ2S politics.”

Applicants must submit a 250-word letter indicating their interest, prepare a resumé (rainbow-coloured stationary not required) and must be over the age of 18, so break out the real ID. Elections to fill the positions will be held at Pride Toronto’s annual general meeting on Thu, Sep 17 at a location TBA.
