The 519 adds a new party on Pride Day

Ryerson quad to be full of shirtless men (and women)

The 519’s hugely popular beer garden has often been the “it” place to party on Pride Day. But the lineups on Pride Sunday have left some more frustrated than proud.

Now the community centre is taking over the Ryerson quad – adding a new party space to build on its fundraising success.

“It’s a stunning place,” says 519 party planner Mathieu Chantelois. “We can have double the people that we had last year.”

The parties at The 519 beer garden and the new Ryerson space are all part of fundraising events that fall under the Green Space Toronto banner. Last year more than $250,000 was raised.

Check out the new party space in our video below. This could be the year to start a new Pride tradition.
