I had the immense pleasure of taking part in tonight’s Jer’s Vision and Day of Pink Gala at Ottawa U.
The food was good and free; plus, there were lots of personalities and cool people from the community. I saw two gay dads with their children and it made me smile.
I decided to hold a BS Questionnaire. And it went something like this: If your life depended on it, who would you rather sleep with? B – Barack Obama or S – Stephen Harper.
My little study was obviously not scientific, but the score was, nonetheless, quite telling: 36 would rather sleep with Obama, six with Harper — and three chose death.
I asked everyone in the room: Rick Mercer, former news anchor Max Keeping, Mayor Jim Watson, ambassadors from Germany and the Netherlands — lesbians, gays, bisexuals, queers and straight people. I think I even asked people under 18 — is that legal? I guess asking is.
The first person I asked was Rick Mercer, and at first he wouldn’t answer. After some encouragement, he said, “Barack Obama. Because I’m not partial to angry bottoms.” Beautiful, simply beautiful.

Yasir Naqvi, MPP Ottawa Centre, and Paul Morneau, an Ottawa paramedic,
both said Barack.
Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said he would “strike a committee, get a consensus and go with the majority vote.” Hmm . . . sounds risky.
Max Keeping was the first person to choose death.
German ambassador to Canada, Georg Witschel, and ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Wim Geerts, both preferred “dignified death” over B and S.
Mr Leather Ottawa, Isaac Wesley, was the first person to choose Stephen Harper, because “he’s screwed us over; we might as well screw him back.”
NDP Member of Parliament Randall Garrison would not answer my BS Questionnaire; however, his lovely friend decided on Obama.
The room was full! These fine folk all voted Barack Obama.
The BS Questionnaire was taken seriously by all. Another three for Barack!
I decided to include a photo of this man because he was really cute. He also voted B.
The beaver had to hurry, the speeches were about to begin. Five for Barack, one for Stephen.
This young lady really had to think about it . . . and . . . and . . . Barack again!
Sound the alarm! Jeremy Dias cheated: “Rick Mercer. That’s my final answer.”
