The Madonna and Elton John feud is over, sad face

My favourite feud of 2012 hans’t made it into the new year, unfortunately. There’s nothing I like more than two aging queens bitching it out in the press, but Elton John and hubby David Furnish have told Extra’s Terry Seymour that they’ve moved on after repeatedly slamming Madonna. The feud was mostly one sided, with Elton calling Madonna a “fucking fairground stripper” who’s “career is over", and Furnish bashing Madonna’s Golden Globe win for “Masterpiece". But after bumping into each other at a restaurant in France, the trio made nice.

"She came in, and I sent over a note,” Elton said. “She was very gracious. I apologized profusely because what I said should never have appeared in public. She accepted our apology, and then we bought her dinner. That’s over and done with. She was really great about it. I have to say, she was fantastic. She was just, ‘Okay, let’s get a move on. I was very relieved, because she had every right to say ‘I don’t want to talk…’ I said, listen — you have an option of not talking to me again and I completely understand it, and she said ‘No, no. I accept your apology. Let’s move on."

Now if Elton had only sent over hydrangeas instead of a note, things would’ve gotten real good. . .
