The Reading List for April 14, 2014

It’s Monday. Might as well start the week with a fresh look at the past weekend’s queerest stories with The Reading List.

– First off, something a little light: cod swallows rabbit. And no, I don’t mean a bunny. I mean the kind of rabbit the girls from Sex in the City would own. (via Gawker)

Daily Xtra’s own Jeremy Feist reports on the new Tom of Finland postage stamps. Yes, you read that right. Gives a whole new meaning to check out that package.

– Last month RuPaul’s Drag Race landed in a bit of hot water when they used the term “she-male” during a trivia game amongst its contestants. The show’s original statement about the use of the term was not well received by some people in the trans community, who viewed it as a non-apology. BuzzFeed reports on how Logo, the show’s broadcaster, has pulled the episode and stated that it will no longer use the term.

– And last but not least, Laverne Cox’s speech at this weekend’s GLAAD Awards. Definitely worth a watch.
