The walk

AIDS Walk Ottawa – now in its 14th year – raises funds for local AIDS service organizations.

This year’s walk, sponsored by Bruce House, will take place on Sat, Sep 18, beginning at Festival Plaza (corner of Laurier Ave and Elgin St) at 7pm.

The fundraiser will once again be a candle-lit walk, with participants encouraged to dress in any clothing that is white.

On-site registration for the walk will begin at 5pm at Festival Plaza. Online registration is also available by visiting the walk’s website or calling the Bruce House Walk Line.

For those who cannot attend the walk, but would still like to collect pledges, donations may be mailed to or dropped off at Bruce House (312 Parkdale Ave, Ottawa, K1Y 4X5).

Volunteering opportunities also exist for the walk. For more information about becoming a volunteer, call the Walk Line or contact walk coordinators by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. For more information visit www.aidswalkottawa.ca or call the Bruce House Walk Line at 729-0911, ext 27.
