Who is the Bank St BIA?

Businesses on Bank St pay into the Bank St Business Improvement Area to help promote the neighbourhood and to lobby on its behalf. Decisions about the branding of a neighbourhood are typically left to BIAs — rather than its residents or property owners.

In Ottawa, the seats on the BIA are filled by city council. In April 2007, council approved the current board.
